Well I went to my LSS to work on projects today since we're out of school due to illness. I was super excited because I convinced one of my friends, that I haven't been able to hang out with a lot, to come also. We had a good time catching up, joking around, and not getting a whole lot accomplished. We did freeze for about half the time due to it being so cold outside and then the heat not really working that well in the room we were in. Brr. Once we got some coffee in our systems we did better. I managed to get the tags cut for the image swap I'm participating in but I just realized I don't have enough to put my TH clasps on. I also cut my finger on the die when I tried to save it from falling - that's what I get for trying to save it. :( I've got to finish my recipe cards so that I can get started on my "Thank You" cards for another swap, and I need to stamp the images on my cards, and mail everything off. All before the end of the month.Whew. Oh yeah, I also have to buy stuff for a color supply swap. Double whew!
Off to rest before I need to get going again.
Thanks for stopping by.

How to make Swivel Clasp Charms
I am participated in an online swap where we had to use a Tim Holtz Swivel Clasp and have at least 10 charms along with some lace on the clasp. I thought and thought for a while about what I had and trying to remember if I had enough stuff to make them without having to go buy more. Remember, I'm trying to save up for the new CHA goodies. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I did have everything I needed and then some. I sat down to make a video of one and ended up finishing all of them tonight. I'm very happy with the way they turned out. I only had to make 3 for the swap but since I was on a roll I decided to make one for myself also. I love the way it turned out and I found the perfect place for it. I'm using it on the end of my stylus for my gypsy. I think I'll make some more either as gifts or to sell.
Check out my YouTube videos Part 1 and Part 2 to see how I made them.
Here they are all together. These are the ones that will be swapped.

All packed
Hello,
I'm going to an all day crop tomorrow at my LSS. I'm very excited! I love going there and getting to see my scrappy friends. I'm all packed and spending time catching up on what is going on in other people's lives. I just checked out Tim Holtz's blog. He's doing a giveaway, go check it out. Did I mention I love his products? Well in case you all didn't know I do. Ha. I'm hoping to stop by a couple of craft stores to check out what they have and to pick up a few supplies. I'm trying to be good though so that I can buy some of TH's new products. I love them! <3<3<3 I'm very excited for them to come out.
My crafting seems to go in phases, I'm either totally consumed and busy or just piddling around but not doing much. I think finally getting those cards finished helped. I'm hoping to get pictures up soon. I've been going to bed too late this week and so then I"m too tired to remember to really do anything. I keep meaning to do stuff around the house and keep forgetting to do them. Whoops. I have signed up for a few local swaps and then for some online crops so I'm hoping to get going on those tomorrow during my crop. I also realized that I have something every sat for the next solid month or so.
Plus, I've started going to two different knitting groups, one is farther away but the people seem really nice. I'm torn between wanting to meet with that group more and it being farther to get there. I have about another 6 inches and then I think I'll be finished with the scarf for my friend. I'm hoping to finish it in the next couple of weeks. The main thing that is going to hold that back is that I'm suppose to host two showers in the same week. I've got the favors for the one shower all finished, unless all of the ladies decide to come, haha. I also decided to make a diaper cake for the baby shower we're throwing for a friend. I wanted to make something useful that they could use later on. I've never made one before so this may be a bad idea but it doesn't look that hard. It might be time consuming having to roll up a bunch of diapers but I'm hoping it turns out nice. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks for stopping by.

New Tim Holtz stamps
AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!! HAVE YOU SEEN THE NEW STAMPS!! I just want to share my excitement over the new Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stamps. AHHHHHHH!!! I'm soooo excited I really can't stand it right now. Oh my gosh, I don't know if I can wait until they come out. I also love that they've started putting the image on the back of the rubber itself. Great improvement! Ok I need to calm down from my excitement. Anyway, now I just need to count down the days until all of the new products are released.

A day spent organizing
Today was spent organizing. My mom came over to help me organize the mess that I had going on in the two rooms. It looks a lot better now. She loves organizing things so it's a big help. We talked for a good while about what options we had available to us in terms of storing everything but then we got to talking about hubby and I moving eventually. So that lead us into talking about how we're going to have to stage the house. Long story short we've gone through and just made sure everything has a home the place looked organized. It looks a lot better now. I've got a video that I'll put up later. Eventually though everything will have to go into storage - which makes me sad but if we can sell the house it's definitely worth it. I did have visions of what would I do if the house didn't sell for six months - how would I be able to do my crafting?!?! There was mild panic in my head. I guess I would have to stick to knitting because that doesn't take up as much room.
I'm off to try and go do something crafty.

Big project: Scrap room rearranging - part 1
Whew! We finally went back to school today after being out for 7 days at the end of last semester (we did go the last day and a half) and then being out the first 7 days of this semester due to snow. I believe we ended up with a total accumulation of 11 - 12 inches of snow. We haven't gotten a good snow in a long, long time. These are pics of our back and side yard.

I've been working on knitting this scarf for a friend. The pattern uses short rows so that you end up with triangles. Here's a picture of how what it looks like to this point and a close up of the triangles.

The major thing that I have been working on is getting my scrap area organized. I finally have most of a room to do my crafty things in. I had a corner of our den but we've rearranged some things in other parts of the house so that I can finally have more space. I was having to store part of my crafting things in the room that I used as my dressing/sewing/storage area. It was a mess. It still is right now but that's due to moving things around. I am so excited to be able to rearrange things and to get more space. I had a bit of a hard time getting started because I was trying to go through things before I moved them but I decided that was taking too long so I just started moving things the other day. I like how it's turned out so far. It seems like the room is so much bigger now. I maybe move some other things around again but I'm happy with the results so far. Now I need to focus on the other room and get that organized. It is a disaster area right now. I'll try and keep you all updated.
